The area
Troncones is a tranquil, laid-back beach town on Mexico’s Pacific coast in the state of Guerrero, about 30 minutes north of Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo. It’s known for long, uncrowded beaches, consistent surf, spectacular sunsets and fresh seafood, with a warm, welcoming community. Convenience stores, a pharmacy and ATMs are close by, and the resort town of Ixtapa and the fishing town of Zihuatanejo are an easy day trip.
